A pandemic-era campaign for Pandora celebrating music as a way to enhance time at home. As art director, I developed the visual language—creating mood boards and concept sketches that evolved into vibrant, illustrated worlds where users could work out, spend time with family, or escape to tropical virtual happy hours, all powered by their smart speakers.

Pandora x Great Indoors

TV SPOT

In 2020, Pandora wanted to acknowledge the surge in at-home smart device usage without delving into the heaviness of the pandemic. The campaign needed to feel joyful and escapist—emphasizing how music and audio could bring fun, excitement, and connection to time spent indoors.

I led the visual direction, creating mood boards and concept sketches that established a bold, playful illustrated style. The approach centered on building surreal, colorful interior worlds—each representing different at-home moments like workouts ("Play Nature Royale"), family time ("Play Dad & Kids"), and virtual happy hours ("Play Hawaiian Tropical Radio"). I worked closely with the creative and motion directors to develop the visual language, then handed off the direction to Oddfellows, who brought the concepts to life through design and animation. The result was a vibrant, optimistic campaign that ran across social, paid media, and TV, encouraging people to simply ask their smart devices for Pandora.
